Former CJI NV Ramana, has been selected to join the International Mediator Panel of the Singapore International Mediation Centre.

Former Chief Justice of India (CJI) NV Ramana has been named as a member of the International Mediation Panel at the Singapore International Mediation Centre (SIMC).

George Lim, the Chairperson of SIMC, officially presented the letter of appointment to retired Justice Ramana on Tuesday in Singapore.

Justice Ramana is currently in Singapore to participate in the "Singapore Convention Week," an annual convention organized by Singapore's Ministry of Law, UNICITRAL, and more than 20 partner organizations.

During his tenure as a judge, Justice Ramana was a strong voctary for alternative dispute resolution methods.

 In July 2021, he emphasized that mediation has deep roots in Indian culture and existed in India long before the British arrived
