A Delhi court granted bail to former Bihar chief minister Rabri Devi and her daughters, Misa Bharti and Hema Yadav, in connection with the Railways' land-for-job case on Wednesday. Misa Bharti, who currently serves as a Rajya Sabha MP from Bihar, was among those granted bail.
Special Judge Vishal Gogne provided relief to the three accused individuals after the Enforcement Directorate (ED) refrained from opposing their bail applications. The central probe agency emphasized the gravity of the case and proposed imposing stringent conditions on the accused as a prerequisite for granting bail.
On February 9, the judge granted the accused interim bail as per the request of the ED, which required additional time to present arguments regarding their regular bail applications. Subsequently, the accused appeared before the court following its acknowledgment of the ED's chargesheet and issuance of summons.
