Delhi Court Extends Judicial Custody for Former Deputy CM Manish Sisodia Until February 17th

The Delhi court, yet again, has declined to provide relief to former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia. Extending its decision, the court has prolonged Manish Sisodia's judicial custody until February 17.

On Saturday, during the hearing of the Delhi liquor scam case, Delhi's Rouse Avenue court denied bail to Manish Sisodia and extended his imprisonment until February 17.

Significantly, various central investigating agencies are actively probing the accusations related to the Delhi liquor scam within the framework of the new liquor policy. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is specifically looking into allegations of corruption, focusing on irregularities associated with the case.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) is investigating the liquor scam case under the money laundering sections. In both cases, the agencies have made Sisodia an accused.

Due to this, Manish Sisodia has been behind bars since February 26, 2023. He has gone to the Supreme Court for bail, but he has not gotten any relief anywhere.
