Today, the Central government officially announced the appointment of Justice NV Anjaria, a judge from the Gujarat High Court, as the new Chief Justice of the Karnataka High Court.

The Union Minister of State with independent charge of the Law and Justice Ministry, Arjun Ram Meghwal, took to X to share the news of Justice NV Anjaria's appointment as the Chief Justice of the Karnataka High Court.

On February 7, the Supreme Court Collegium recommended the appointment of Justice Anjaria as the Chief Justice of the Karnataka High Court.

Justice Anjaria most likely to take oath of Chief Justice of the Karnataka High Court following the retirement of the current Chief Justice PS Dinesh Kumar on February 24.

Justice Anjaria was appointed as a judge of the Gujarat High Court on November 21, 2011.
