The Bench comprising of Justice Sanjiv Khanna and Justice JK Maheshwari of the Supreme Court dismissed a Public Interest Litigation filed by advocate Vakul Vardhan Gautam observing that Tax is a Sovereign subject and the court cannot interfere unless there is a strong case of interference.
