Six Retired High Court Judges Designated as Senior Advocates

In a significant decision, the Supreme Court of India has designated six retired judges of various High Courts as Senior Advocates. The decision was made during a full court meeting held on April 1.

The following former judges have been conferred the Senior Advocate title:

  • Justice Ambadas Haribhau Joshi – Former judge, Bombay High Court

  • Justice Chander Shekhar – Former judge, Delhi High Court

  • Justice Cyril Thamarai Selvam – Former judge, Madras High Court

  • Justice Prithviraj Keshavrao Chavan – Former judge, Bombay High Court

  • Justice Rajbir Sehrawat – Former judge, Punjab and Haryana High Court

  • Justice Raj Mohan Singh – Former judge, Madhya Pradesh High Court
