Today, Mr. Rohit Pandey, the Hony. Secretary of the Supreme Court Bar Association, informed the TLA network that, first time ever in the history, the Supreme Court Bar Association has scheduled a "स्वच्छता अभियान" - Cleanliness Drive and a ceremony to garland the statue within the Supreme Court Compound celebration on the Birth Anniversaries of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri, This event is scheduled for 2nd October 2023 at 9:00 AM. We are honored to announce that Honorable Mr. Justice Sanjiv Khanna, a distinguished Judge of the Supreme Court of India, will grace the occasion as the Chief Guest.

The entire Supreme Court compound would be cleaned by the members of the Bar Association and the employees of the Supreme Court and also judges and their staff. 

Mr. Pandey told TLA Network that Justice Khanna is very enthusiastic about the event and is also a cleanliness freak. He said that there can not be a better homage to the father of the nation on his Birth anniversary than this. 

The statute of Mahatma Gandhi is placed right in front of the Chief Justice Court with his neck bent towards the temple of justice.
