SC Committee Designated Former HC Chief Justice S Muralidhar as Senior Advocate

Today, the Supreme Court Committee has designated the Former Chief Justice Of Orissa High Court Justice S Muralidhar as a Senior Advocate.

The decision was made before the Chief Justice of India and the Judges of the Supreme Court of India during a full Court Meeting.

S. Muralidhar's educational and academic achievements are noteworthy. In 1981, he successfully completed his Bachelor of Sciences in Chemistry from Vivekananda College, Chennai,

In 1990, he completed his LL.M with a specialization in Constitutional and Administrative Law from Nagpur University, securing the first rank in his class. Dr. S. Muralidhar further enriched his academic profile by earning a Ph.D. from the University of Delhi in February 2003.

Justice (Dr) S Muralidhar, before his retirement in August this year, served as the Chief Justice of Orissa High Court between January 2021 and August 2023. During his 17-year-long tenure, he also served as a judge of the Punjab and Haryana High Court and Delhi High Court.
