In a recent development the Rajasthan High Court at Jodhpur has issued a notice detailing the transfer and posting of judicial officers in response to administrative exigencies. The order, dated 14.12.2023, sheds light on the reorganization of the District Judge Cadre and the Senior Civil Judge Cadre, affecting a total of 33 judicial officers.

The reshuffling comes in the wake of promotions on an Ad-hoc basis from the Senior Civil Judge Cadre to the District Judge Cadre, as outlined in the Government Order No.F.19(1)Nyay/2022 dated 22.09.2023. This promotion has paved the way for the appointment and posting of 24 judicial officers in the District Judge Cadre.

Among the notable transfers is Shri Manish Kumar Agarwal, currently serving as Officer on Special Duty at Rajasthan High Court, Jodhpur. According to the order, Shri Manish Kumar Agarwal's services have been placed at the disposal of the Hon'ble High Court, and he is now set to assume the role of Judge, Special Court for Atrocities on Women and Dowry Cases in Sriganganagar.

In addition to the posting/transfer in the District Judge Cadre of 7 Judicial Officers, the order also highlights the transfer and posting of 26 Judicial Officers in the Senior Civil Judge Cadre/Civil Judge Cadre. The specifics of these transfers, including the names of the officers and their new assignments, are expected to play a crucial role in reshaping the landscape of the lower judiciary in Rajasthan.
