The Punjab-Haryana High Court has received a challenge regarding the results of the primary examination for 100 HCS positions. In response to a petition, the High Court has directed the Haryana Government and HPSC to submit a reply. Both entities requested an extension to respond, which the court granted, setting a deadline of March 21 for the submission of their replies.
Swati Nanda, a resident of Panchkula, along with others, approached the High Court during the petition filing process. They highlighted that the Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC) had advertised vacancies for the HCS positions. Subsequently, they participated in and passed the preliminary examination. Following this, around 1200 candidates appeared for the main examination. However, when the results were announced, only 61 applicants were deemed eligible for the interview phase.
Challenging this result, the petitioner has appealed to put a stay on the result for the time being and issue instructions not to proceed with the recruitment. Besides, an appeal has been made to preserve the answer sheets of the applicants appearing in the main examination and to allow them to examine them.
The petitioner said that in this matter HPSC should give concession to the applicants and call the applicants for interview in the coefficient of the posts. It should be known that HPSC has released the result of this recruitment and the government has also selected the candidates and released their appointment.
