National Lok Adalat will be organized by Delhi Traffic Police on 8th October. Cases of challan issued for any violation of traffic rules while driving in the capital Delhi will be settled. These include challans for both commercial and private vehicles. If you have violated the traffic rules knowingly or unknowingly and due to this you have been challaned, then do not let this opportunity slip away, because by appearing before the magistrate in this Lok Adalat, you can get the traffic challan amount waived off or reduced. Can request to do so. If you miss this opportunity, you will have to visit the office for payment of the challan amount and if the challan is not paid then action can also be taken against you.

These Lok Adalats will be set up in Delhi's Dwarka, Karkardooma, Patiala House, Rohini, Rouse Avenue, Saket and Tis Hazari court complexes from 10 am to 4 pm on October 8, which will have 170 Lok Adalat benches, where each Lok Adalat will have a maximum of One thousand challan cases will be settled, that is, 1 lakh 70 thousand challan related cases will be settled on this day.

Only the cases of challans pending till June 30, 2023 will be settled in this Lok Adalat. Whose notice slips can be downloaded from the website of Delhi Traffic Police. It is mandatory to take print out of the slip to settle the challan. Facility to take print out will not be available in the court premises.

The challan/notice slip can be downloaded from the official website of Delhi Traffic Police link https://traffic.delhipolice.gov.in/notice/lokadalat.

For this, first you will have to login to this link and then you will be able to download the notice/challan slip and take a print out. This link will remain open from 10 am on October 4 till the maximum limit of challans is reached. Apart from this, Delhi Police has also shared two QR codes from its official X handle, which can be scanned to download the challan slip along with the downloading information.

If you too have been challaned, then do not let this opportunity go by hand, because it is necessary to pay the challan if you break the traffic rules whether intentionally or accidentally. If you think that you will be saved by not paying traffic challan, then you are creating problems for yourself. You have no option other than paying the challan. Yes, you can definitely go to the Lok Adalat and request the magistrate to waive or reduce the challan.
