Court Grants Bail to Rajasthan-Based YouTuber Accused of Threatening Salman Khan

Banwarilal Gujjar, a Youtuber from Rajasthan, was granted bail by a Mumbai court on Monday. He had been arrested last month on charges of criminal intimidation and violations under the Information Technology Act for allegedly threatening to kill actor Salman Khan and claiming association with gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.

The police stated that in a video posted on his YouTube channel, Gujjar discussed plans to harm Khan and asserted his connections with Lawrence Bishnoi, Gold Brar, and other criminal figures.

Police alleged that Gujjar uploaded the video solely to boost viewership on his online channel. His bail was granted on Monday by Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate VR Patil.

In his bail plea, filed through advocate Faiz Merchant, Gujjar contended that he had been "wrongly implicated in the case without sufficient or credible evidence."

In his plea, Gujjar stated that he creates and uploads videos on his channel for entertainment purposes and to build a following. He claimed that the transcript of the video, which is included in the FIR, does not contain any statement where he expressed intentions to harm Salman Khan.

Therefore, the plea argued that the sections applied in the case are not applicable to Gujjar's actions.
