Man Attacked at Bhopal Court for Arriving with Woman from Another Faith

A man was allegedly attacked by members of a right-wing group at a district court in Bhopal after he arrived with a woman from another faith, whom he intended to marry.

A viral video of the incident reportedly shows the man, a Muslim, being beaten by two individuals while he cries out in pain.

Police have launched an investigation and are verifying the video's authenticity. According to sources, the victim, a resident of Narsinghpur, had come to Bhopal to marry the woman, a Hindu from Pipariya, in court.

"The man had come with the woman to meet a lawyer for notarizing their documents. We have called their families for discussions," said MP Nagar police station inspector Jai Hind Sharma.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Akshay Chaudhary stated that the man is undergoing a medical check-up and that the investigation is ongoing. "We will take appropriate action against those involved," he said.

The right-wing group claimed the incident was a case of "love jihad."

"He trapped the woman and brought her here. When we got information from the lawyers, we intervened," said Chandrashekhar Tiwari, president of Sanskriti Bachao Manch.

The group has also demanded strict action against the victim.
