Sr. Advocate Kapil Sibal is elected as the President of the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) for the 4th time. 

Sibal defeated Sr. Advocate Pradeep Rai by 377 votes. The incumbent President SCBA Adish C. Agarwala stood 4th in the Vote telly. Kapil Sibal got 1066 Votes defeated Pradeep Rai who got 689 votes.

The voting for all the posts took place in the Supreme Court Bar Association Library for the whole day. There was a long queue of advocates for voting even in the heatwave situation.

Recently the Supreme Court had reserved the post of Treasurer, two senior executive members and three executive members for women.  

The counting of votes is still going on. Sr. Adv. Rachna Srivastava is leading for the post of Vice President whereas there is a close fight between Vikrant Yadav and Minesh Dubey for the post of Secretary,
