Justice Nitin Madhukar Jamdar took the oath as Chief Justice of the Kerala High Court today, September 26, 2024, during a ceremony held at Raj Bhavan, Thiruvananthapuram, at 10 am.
Governor Arif Mohammed Khan administered the oath of office to Justice Nitin Madhukar Jamdar as Chief Justice of the Kerala High Court. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan was also in attendance at the swearing-in ceremony.
Justice Nitin Madhukar Jamdar was appointed as a judge of the Bombay High Court on January 23, 2012. Renowned for his expertise in administrative and constitutional law, he played a key role in the computerization and digitization of the Bombay High Court. In addition to his legal contributions, Justice Jamdar has a deep passion for natural history and photography.
The Supreme Court Collegium recommended Justice Nitin Madhukar Jamdar's appointment as Chief Justice of the Kerala High Court on July 11. His appointment was officially notified by the Central Government on September 21, 2024.
