Justice Dalveer Bhandari of ICJ to be patron of RANA

The Law Advice has learned that Justice Dalveer Bhandari, Judge, International Court of Justice will be the Patron of the Rajasthan Association of North America (RANA). It is the largest organization of immigrants in America.

Justice Bhandari was appointed a judge of the ICJ in 2012 for a period of 9 years and in 2021 and He was re-elected for a second term on 20 November 2017 after UK's nominee Christopher Greenwood withdrew his nomination

Dalveer Bhandari belongs to a family of lawyers. Both his father, Mahaveer Chand Bhandari, and grandfather, B.C. Bhandari were members of the Rajasthan bar. He first practiced in the Rajasthan High Court from 1968 to 1970.  He again took up a law practice in the Rajasthan High Court from 1973 to 1976. He shifted his practice to Delhi in 1977 and was a Supreme Court lawyer till his elevation to the Delhi High Court in March 1991. 

In 2012 Justice Bhandari was appointed as judge of ICJ before his retirement as Judge of the Supreme Court of India.

RANA has organized four international Rajasthani conferences so far. two of these were attended by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and one by Ex-Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje along with her entire cabinet. The organization has been established with a mission to preserve and promote the cultural heritage of Rajasthan in North America
