Today, Justice Arun Bhansali was sworn in as the Chief Justice of Allahabad High Court. The Governor of Uttar Pradesh, Anandiben Patel, administered the oath in the Chief Justice's courtroom at the Allahabad High Court. The ceremony took place in the presence of the sitting judges of the Allahabad High Court.
On January 8, 2013, Justice Arun Bhansali assumed the role of a judge at the Rajasthan High Court. Subsequently, according to a notification dated 2nd February 2024, he was appointed as the Chief Justice of Allahabad High Court. Additionally, Justice Bhansali serves as a member of the Advisory-cum-Consultative Panel for the National Legal Service Authority (NALSA).
After the retirement of Chief Justice Pritinker Diwaker on November 21, 2023, Justice Manoj Gupta was appointed as the Acting Chief Justice of Allahabad High Court.
Justice Bhansali will retire on October 14, 2029.
