On Sunday morning, on the Prayagraj-Varanasi highway of Saraiinayat police station area, a speeding car hit the Innova car of the High Court Justice and the escort Gypsy, which was moving ahead in security. Justice Ram Manohar Narayan Mishra of Allahabad High Court had left Prayagraj in his Innova on Sunday morning to go to Varanasi. Escort Gypsy was running in front of his Innova car. At around 7.15 am, when the Alturas car coming at a high speed from the opposite side hit the gypsy of the police escort accompanying the justice, on reaching near Sarayachak village of Saraiinayat police station area.
After hitting the Gypsy, the car also hit Justice's Innova car. In the accident, the Gypsy overturned after going into a pit on the side of the highway. During this, Justice's Innova car was also damaged. Justice Ram Manohar Narayan Mishra narrowly escaped in the accident. However, Gypsy driver Ram Niwas Singh, lady constable Sunita Yadav and another security personnel sustained minor injuries.
On the information of the accident, SO Sarainayat Arvind reached the spot along with the police force and admitted the injured to the hospital for treatment. On receiving information about the accident, ACP Phulpur Manoj Kumar Singh, ACP Handia Sudhir Kumar, Handia Inspector Dharmendra Dubey also reached the spot along with the police force. Later the Justice was safely sent to Varanasi.
On the Tahrir of Gypsy driver Ram Niwas Singh, the police has registered a report against Alturas car driver Vineet Singh, resident of Semshail, Police Station Sadat, District Ghazipur. The driver has also been arrested. The Alturas car is said to belong to a district panchayat president of Purvanchal. Due to the accident, there was chaos on the spot for a long time.
