Jharkhand HC Inaugurates Virtual Court Hearing Platform for Expanded Access

Chief Justice Sanjaya Kumar Mishra of the Jharkhand High Court, alongside Judges, the Advocate General, and other esteemed guests, virtually launched a platform for conducting court hearings remotely. The initiative's primary goal is to facilitate access to the High Court for individuals in distant locations.

The Computer and Digitization Committee of the Jharkhand High Court has made a notable decision to introduce E-Seva Kendra facilities, including the utilization of existing ones in District Daltonganj, Dumka, and Pakur, for conducting virtual court proceedings. This strategic step is anticipated to improve access to justice for residents living in these specific regions.

Nevertheless, the e-filing of new cases through E-Seva Kendra in these locations has been temporarily suspended due to initial challenges, including stamp reporting and rectification of errors. Consultation with all stakeholders will be conducted to resolve these issues effectively. The goal is to ensure the smooth e-filing of cases in every court throughout the State.
