According to the reports, Jeeva, Sanjiv Jeeva, a close associate of former MLA Mukhtar Ansari, was accused in the murder of senior BJP leader Brahm Dutt Dwivedi.

Jeeva was brought to the Court when he was shot at by a man dressed as a lawyer while he was entering a courtroom. A policeman was also shot in the leg.

Lawyers at the spot could catch hold of one of the attackers, who was then handed over to the police.
