Delhi Traffic Police Sets National Lok Adalat for March 9: Opportunity to Clear Pending Traffic Challans/Notices

Delhi commuters with pending traffic challans or notices have the opportunity to resolve them during the National Lok Adalat scheduled for March 9, running from 10 am to 4 pm at all court complexes in the city.

The Delhi Traffic Police (DTP) urges defaulters to take advantage of this event and clear all pending compoundable traffic challans or notices. The link to download and print the traffic challans or notices will be active from March 5 at 10 am until the allocation is exhausted.

In a tweet, the Delhi Traffic Police said, “In order to take up the maximum number of challans/notices in the Lok Adalat, only compoundable traffic challans/notices pending on the Delhi Traffic Police portal till November 30, 2023 will be taken up in this Lok Adalat. This will include on-sitea challans and notices of all types of vehicles (private and commercial) and will be settled at the court complexes of Dwarka, Karkardooma, Patiala House, Rohini, Rouse Avenue, Saket, and Tis Hazari on March 9 from 10 am to 4 pm.”

The DTP has further clarified that each bench in all 180 Lok Adalat benches will only address 1000 challans or notices for disposal. Consequently, a total of 1,80,000 challans or notices are anticipated to be addressed on March 9. Defaulters are instructed to download the notices or challans from the Delhi Traffic Police website, as it is mandatory to carry a printout to the court. Additionally, it's important to note that there will be no provision for printing at the court complexes.

To download and print out the notices or challans, visit the Delhi Traffic Police website at https://traffic.delhipolice.gov.in/notice/lokadalat.

This link will be activated starting on March 5 at 10 am until the limit of challans or notices is exhausted. To have the challan addressed, defaulters must visit the designated court number in the court complex mentioned in the challan at the allocated time slot.
