As per the recent judgment passed by the Delhi High Court, the elections for all Bar associations in Delhi will proceed as scheduled on October 19, 2024. This decision ensures that the democratic process within these associations continues without interruption.

New Web Portal/App for Payment of Dues

To facilitate the payment of dues and subscription amounts, a new web portal/app is being developed. Members are required to make these payments via bank transactions from their personal bank accounts. All transactions and related activities must be completed within the month of July.

Clearing Dues and Voting Rights

Members must clear their dues with the Bar to exercise their voting rights in the Saket Bar Association or any other respective association. Additionally, proof of 12 appearances is required to qualify for voting rights.

Criteria for Appearances

The required 12 appearances can be accumulated from multiple appearances in one or multiple cases and can involve any counsel. It is permissible for the 12 appearances to be within a single case as well.

This comprehensive approach ensures that all members meet their financial obligations and active participation criteria to maintain the integrity and functionality of the Bar associations.
