The DUSU elections took place on September 27, with 1.45 lakh students casting their votes.
The Delhi High Court has instructed Delhi University to finalize the counting and announce the results of the Delhi University Student Union (DUSU) elections by November 26.
Earlier, the court had temporarily suspended the result declaration due to concerns over littering caused by poster campaigning during the elections.
As per the online sources, the vote counting and result announcement for the Delhi University Student Union (DUSU) elections are now expected by November 16.
The delay in the announcement of the 2024 DUSU election results was due to damage to public property caused by DUSU candidates. Initially scheduled for release on September 28, the result declaration was postponed after the Delhi High Court halted the counting.
The court emphasized the need to restore the damaged property and imposed the stay to take a firm stance against such violations, rather than to interfere with the election process.
