Delhi Court Allows Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh to Renew Passport Amid Harassment Case

Today, Delhi court granted permission to Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, the former chief of the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) and a BJP leader, to renew his passport for one year. He is currently facing allegations in a sexual harassment case.

Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Vaibhav Chaurasiya issued the order in response to a plea filed by Singh, while also summoning one of the complainants to testify in the case on November 14.

On May 21, the court formally charged Singh with sexual harassment and using force to outrage women's modesty. Singh pleaded not guilty and opted to stand trial.

The court also framed charges of criminal intimidation against Singh and Vinod Tomar, the former assistant secretary of the WFI, who is a co-accused in the case.
