Centre Assigns Benches to 21 of 24 Newly Appointed NCLT Members

On Friday, the Central Government allocated benches to 21 out of the 24 newly appointed judicial and technical members of the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT).

“In accordance with Rule 15A of the National Company Law Tribunal (Salary, Allowances, and Other Terms and Conditions of Service of Members) Rules, 2015, and in consultation with the President, NCLT, the following Judicial and Technical Members of the NCLT are hereby assigned to the Benches,” the notification read.

The bench assignments follow concerns raised by the NCLT Bar Association over delays in posting the appointed members. It was alleged that despite completing their induction program, the members had yet to be assigned to benches.
