5 Ministers from Raj. Govt. get relief from Sup. Court in Contempt Case

Supreme Court on Tuesday has given relief to UDH Minister Shanti Dhariwal and other members of the Cabinet Empowered Committee who were directed on 20th November, 2023 to appear before the court in a Loha mandi land acquisition case.
 
During the previous hearing, the Apex court issued notices to Shanti Dhariwal, Parsadi Lal Meena, Mamta Bhupesh and Arjun Bamaniya and also JDA officials.
 
Advocate appearing for the Rajasthan government filed an application following which, the Supreme Court disposed of the case by granting exemption from personal appearance.
 
The notices were issued on non-compliance of an order passed in the land acquisition case of 2003.
 
In the hearing, the JDA submitted a compliance report and informed the court that the allottees who had deposited the amount had been allotted the land. The land was allotted on 25 % of the old reserve rate and the decision was made by the cabinet-empowered committee on 14th February, 2021.
 
Additional Commissioner of the Jaipur Development Authority Harphool Yaday and Zone Deputy Commissioner SP Kaswan appeared in the court on Tuesday.
