Today, a court in Gautam Buddh Nagar, Uttar Pradesh, granted bail to YouTuber Elvish Yadav in a drugs case. Yadav was granted bail by Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Jaihind Kumar Singh, who directed him to provide a bail bond of ₹50,000.
Represented by Advocates Prashant Rathi and Deepak Bhati, Yadav, who was detained on March 17, sought legal assistance. Last year, following a complaint lodged by People For Animals (PFA), the Noida Police reportedly conducted a raid on a banquet hall situated in Sector 51 and apprehended five individuals.
In the First Information Report (FIR), Yadav was alleged to have organized rave parties where foreigners were invited and engaged in the consumption of snake venom as a recreational drug.
He was charged under multiple acts including the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, the Wildlife Protection Act, and the Indian Penal Code.
