The Supreme Court will immediately directed to hear a case of closure of the GPF account of seven judges of the Patna High Court. When this issue was mentioned before the bench of CJI DY Chandrachud, he directed to conduct an urgent hearing. The matter will be taken up for hearing after two days i.e. on Friday. The CJI is currently hearing the Shiv Sena case. He will be very busy for the next two days. This is the reason why the Supreme Court agreed to hear the petition of seven judges after two days i.e. on Friday.

On behalf of the seven judges, their counsel mentioned the case before the Chief Justice of India. He said that the account of General Provident Fund (GPF) has been closed. The CJI immediately asked – Has the GPF account of the judges been closed? On whose behalf the writ has been filed.
