A local court has sentenced Kamlesh to life imprisonment for the brutal murder of his wife in 2020.

The Additional District Judge Achhe Lal Saroj also imposed a fine of Rs 25,000 on the convict.

The case was initiated with an FIR filed by the victim's father on December 11, 2020, accusing Kamlesh of killing his wife as part of a ritual to cure his illness.

The investigation revealed that Kamlesh had been suffering from filariasis and had previously resorted to sacrificing pigs in an attempt to treat his condition.
