Tis Hazari Court violence | Delhi Bar Council suspended 15 more lawyers

The Bar Council of Delhi (BCD) has temporarily suspended the licenses of 15 more advocates, suspected of being involved in firing at Delhi’s Tis Hazari Court complex

The BCD took action after viral videos showed two groups of lawyers engaging in clashes, including firing guns, pelting stones, and hurling abuse at each other.

Fact-Finding Committee was formed by the Delhi Bar Council to investigate the matter, and after examining the videos and speaking to members of the Tis Hazari Bar, the committee presented an interim report to the BCD.

Based on this report, the BCD has suspended the licenses of 15 advocates with immediate effect.

The suspended lawyers have been given notices and are required to submit a written explanation and appear before the BCD on August 25.
