Today, Tollywood actor Allu Arjun has approached the Telangana High Court seeking to quash a criminal case against him, which alleges his involvement in a stampede incident at Sandhya Theatre on December 4 during the screening of his latest film, Pushpa 2.

The petition is scheduled for hearing soon.

The stampede at Sandhya Theatre tragically claimed the life of a woman in her 30s, while her son remains hospitalized for asphyxiation. 

Tollywood actor Allu Arjun was arrested earlier today in connection with the incident. Reports indicate that he faces charges of culpable homicide not amounting to murder, among other offences. 

According to the police, the stampede occurred because Arjun failed to inform authorities in advance about his attendance at the movie screening, resulting in chaos.

Justice Juvvadi Sridevi will hear the petition challenging the case against him. The matter is slated to be taken up around 4 PM today.
