Senior Advocate and Retired Justice Vimlesh Kumar Shukla passed away. He was 69.

He was born on June 3, 1955. Justice Shukla graduated in 1977 and earned his LLB in 1980 from Allahabad University. He enrolled as an advocate with the Bar Council of Uttar Pradesh in 1981. Subsequently, he began his legal career, specializing in civil and constitutional law at the high court. On December 21, 2002, he was appointed as a permanent judge of the high court. He retired on 02/06/2017. 

He was appointed as Acting Chief Justice of Allahabad High Court after the elevation of Justice DY Chandrachud to the Supreme Court.
