Son of Chief Justice of India, appointed as UP Government's Advocate by Yogi Government

Yogi Adityanath led Government in Uttar Pradesh has appointed Shreeyash Lalit son of the present Chief Justice of India UU Lalit as an advocate for the Government as Senior Panelist for the Supreme Court of India. The State Government has issued a notification in this regard.

Justice UU Lalit was appointed as the Chief Justice of India recently on 26th August 2022 after the retirement of Justice NV Ramanna as 49th Chief Justice of India. Justice Lalit comes from Solapur and Shreeyash Lalit is the fourth generation advocate in the family. Father of Justice Lait is a Senior advocate in the Supreme Court of India and his great grandfather was also an advocate in Solapur before independence. Justice Lalit was elevated as a judge of the Supreme Court as directly and his son is also practicing in the Supreme Court the UP Government has appointed him Senior Penal Lawyer in the Supreme Court to represent the Government of UP before it.

Justice Lalit has a tenure of 74 days as Chief Justice of India and is set to retire on 08th November 2022.
