The Central government has officially confirmed the appointment of six additional judges from the Delhi and Karnataka High Courts as permanent judges.

Union Minister of State for Law (Independent Charge), Arjun Ram Meghwal, shared the development through a tweet on Monday.

Judges Elevated:

Delhi High Court:

1. Justice Shalinder Kaur
2. Justice Ravinder Dudeja

Karnataka High Court:
3. Justice Ramachandra Dattatray Huddar
4. Justice Venkatesh Naik Thavaryanaik
5. Justice Vijaykumar Adagouda Patil
6. Justice Rajesh Rai Kallangala (effective February 1, 2025, upon a vacancy).

The Supreme Court Collegium, headed by Chief Justice of India Sanjiv Khanna, had recommended these appointments on December 12.
