A rape Case registered against BJP National spokesperson Shahnawaj Hussain has to face trial in a Rape Case. Hussain had filed a petition challenging Rape Case FIR before the Supreme Court in a 4 years old rape case but the Supreme Court has affirmed the order of the Delhi High Court. Supreme Court dismissed the petition. In 2018 a woman lodged an FIR against Shahnawaj in Saket Court that she was raped by him in an unconscious state.

Shahnawaj had approached Delhi High Court in 2022 against the order of Saket Court. Delhi High Court had maintained the order of the trial court. Now Supreme Court has said that this matter is required to be investigated properly. SC said that if you are not guilty, you would be acquitted. We do not find it to interfere in this case.
