The Supreme Court of India has declared 14th April, 2023 (The birth Anniversary of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedakar) a Holiday.
14th April is not a calender Holiday for Supreme Court and the same has been declared it by a circular.
The Circular reads as under:-
"Hon’ble the Chief Justice of India has directed that the Supreme Court of India and its Registry shall remain closed on Friday, the 14th April, 2023 on account of the birthday of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar."
By a further notification, the Supreme Court has declared 13th April a Misc day and the matters listed on 14th would now be taken on 13th April. The circular reds as under:-
"It is hereby notified for information of the Members of the Bar, Party-inpersons' and all concerned that since 14.04.2023 (Friday) has been declared as a holiday on account of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar’s Jayanti, the Competent Authority has been pleased to direct that 13.04.2023 (Thursday) shall be a miscellaneous day and the matters noted for listing on 14.04.2023 shall be listed on 13.04.2023, including the fixed date and mentioned matters of 13.04.2023, subject to availability of slot."
