The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended the appointment of two advocates, Amitabh Kumar Rai and Rajiv Lochan Shukla, as judges of the Allahabad High Court.

The decision was made during a collegium meeting held on March 25.

The Allahabad High Court is currently grappling with a significant shortage of judges.

Against the sanctioned strength of 160, the court is functioning with only 79 judges as of March 1st.
