The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended the transfer of Justice P. Sam Koshy to the Telangana High Court from the Chhattisgarh High Court.
The said resolution was passed on 6th July.
In the resolution it is said that Justice Koshy had voluntrary opted for his transfer out of the Chhattisgarh High Court and thus, acceding to his request, the Collegium on July 05 proposed his transfer to the Madhya Pradesh High Court.
Mr Justice Koshy has, however, requested for a transfer to any High Court other than the High Court of Madhya Pradesh, the resolution said.
“Mr Justice Koshy has volunteered for a transfer out of Chhattisgarh. On reconsideration of the recommendation made by this Collegium yesterday, the Collegium resolves to recommend that he be transferred to the High Court for the State of Telangana, instead of the High Court of Madhya Pradesh.”
Justice Koshy was appointed as an Additional Judge of the Chhattisgarh High Court on September 16, 2013. He is presently the fourth senior-most Judge of the said High Court.
