The Supreme Court Collegium, led by Chief Justice of India Sanjiv Khanna, has proposed the appointment of Judicial Officer Ashish Naithani as a judge of the Uttarakhand High Court.
The decision was finalized during the Collegium's meeting on December 22.
The Uttarakhand High Court, which has a sanctioned strength of 11 judges, is currently functioning with only six judges, leaving five positions vacant.
