The  Supreme Court of India is closed for Dussehra break. The Suprem Court would resume functioning from 30th October, 2023. The official vacation would start from 23rd October, 2023 but since it was holiday on account of weekend, the vacation started from 21st Oct, 2023.

After reopening the Suprem court would function for 2 weeks and then it is set for another 9 days vacation on account of Diwali. 

The festival Dussehra is celebrated through out the country by various named. Many High Courts are also closed during this period on account the festival.

After Dussehra breal Supreme Court would function with a strength of 31 judge since Justice S. Ravindra Bhat retired on the last day of functioning.
