Advocate Pravin Sheshrao Patil was sworn in as an additional judge of the Bombay High Court on Monday, with Chief Justice Alok Aradhe administering the oath.  

Patil’s appointment was approved by the Central government on January 23, following a recommendation by the Supreme Court Collegium in December last year.  

With this addition, the Bombay High Court now has 68 judges, while its sanctioned strength stands at 94.
