In response to an instruction from Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud, the Patna High Court has implemented virtual and hybrid hearing alternatives for lawyers and parties participating in legal cases.

A notice released on October 10, 2023, has communicated that lawyers who wish to participate in the 'virtual hybrid hearing' of scheduled cases can now access this option through the official website of the Patna High Court.

In reaction to a recent Supreme Court decree dated October 6, 2023, mandating that all High Courts ensure equitable access to video conferencing facilities and hybrid methods of hearings for members of the legal profession, this initiative has been launched. The Supreme Court has provided a two-week timeframe for all High Courts to comply with this instruction.
