On Friday, the Patiala House Court issued a conditional stay on the attachment of Bikaner House in Delhi, an immovable property owned by the Nagar Palika of Nokha, Rajasthan.
District Judge Vidya Prakash granted a conditional stay on the attachment of Delhi's Bikaner House, owned by the Nagar Palika of Nokha, Rajasthan, on the condition that the outstanding dues related to an arbitral award be deposited within a week.
Earlier, on September 18, the Court had ordered the attachment of the property after noting that the Nagar Palika had failed to comply with a 2020 arbitral award. The award, amounting to ₹50,31,512 in favor of M/S Enviro Infra Engineers, had become final following the dismissal of an appeal by the Nagar Palika in 2024.
The Court highlighted the continued absence of any representation from the Nagar Palika in the execution proceedings, leading to the attachment order. Additionally, the Nagar Palika had failed to comply with an order to submit details of its assets. As Bikaner House in Delhi is owned by the Nagar Palika, the Court issued an attachment warrant against the property.
M/S Enviro Infra Engineers was represented by advocate Sahil Garg.
