The Government of India has declared a seven-day period of national mourning to honor the passing of former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh.

All government events scheduled for Friday have been cancelled as a mark of respect.  

The Union Cabinet will convene at 11 AM on Friday to finalize arrangements and pay homage to the late leader.  

Dr. Singh's last rites will be performed with full state honors, recognizing his significant contributions as an economist, statesman, and visionary leader.
