Mumbai Court Remands Chhattisgarh Lawyer to Four-Day Custody in Bollywood Star Shah Rukh Khan Threat Case

A Mumbai court on Thursday directs Chhattisgarh lawyer Faizan Khan to four days of police custody in connection with his alleged involvement in making a death threat

Day before yesterday, Mumbai police arrested Faizan Khan in Raipur. After securing a transit remand from a Chhattisgarh court, police bought him to Mumbai.

As per the online portals, the Mumbai police presented Khan before a Bandra court on Thursday, requesting a seven-day custody period to continue their investigation.

Faizan’s lawyers contended that his phone had been stolen prior to the alleged threat call. The Mumbai police launched an investigation after the Bandra Police Station received a call from Faizan Khan’s phone, in which a ransom of ₹50 lakh was demanded from the actor, along with a threat to kill Shah Rukh Khan. Faizan was subsequently arrested after failing to appear for questioning.
