Murlidhar C. Bhandare, former Odisha governor and Senior Advocate, passed away on Saturday, June 15, at the age of 95. Born on December 10, 1928, Bhandare practiced as a Senior Advocate before the Supreme Court and served two terms as President of the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA). He was a Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament (MP) for three terms between 1980 and 1994. In August 2007, he was appointed Governor of Odisha, a position he held until March 2013.

His cremation ceremony will be held at Lodhi Road Crematorium on Sunday, June 16, at 5 PM.
