Lawyers Body boycott Lok Adalat inauguration at Jaipur

The Rajasthan High Court Bar Association Jaipur has boycotted the inauguration of National Lok Adalat. The entire association executive unanimously resolved that it would boycott the function to protest their demands.

The circular issued by the association reads "Today, on 12/07/2024, the necessary meeting of the elected executive of the Bar Association, Jaipur was held, in which discussions were held regarding the National Lok Adalat dated 13/07/2024 organized by the Rajasthan High Court. An invitation has been sent to the Rajasthan High Court Bar Association, Jaipur to participate in the inauguration ceremony of the High Court Bar Association, Jaipur, since for a long time, many written reports were presented by the executive to the High Court administration regarding the demands of the advocates, but the Rajasthan High Court administration did not pay any attention to those demands, due to which there is a lot of anger among the advocate community and some honorable judges of Rajasthan High Court also do not give due respect to the advocates, rather they insult the advocates directly and indirectly. Due to this, the advocates of the High Court are distressed.

Under the above circumstances, the Executive unanimously has passed a resolution that the National Lok Adalat to be held tomorrow on 13/07/2024 at the Rajasthan High Court no member of the Association, Jaipur will participate. Rajasthan High Court Bar Association boycotts the said inauguration ceremony." (English Translation)

President of the Association Prahlad Sharma and Secretary Sushil Pujari issued the circular.

The Supreme Court of India under the Chief Justice of India is organizing a week-long Lok Adalat from 29.7.24 to 03.08.24 and by releasing a video msg, the Chief Justice of India has made understand the importance of Lok Adalat and asked the advocated to participate in the event.
