Students, deeply affected by the loss and plagued by various issues, including alleged harassment by college staff and moral policing, voiced their concerns on social media platforms.

Amidst the growing unrest, student political organizations such as the Students Federation of India (SFI), Kerala Students Union (KSU), Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI), and Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) mobilized protests near the college gates on June 6. Abusive slogans were shouted, and entry and exit paths to the college were reportedly obstructed. The situation escalated to a point where the college management described it as a "hostage-like situation" and a breakdown of law and order.

Allegations were made against the police personnel present at the scene, claiming that no action was taken to control or disperse the unruly crowd. The lack of intervention further exacerbated the turmoil and hindered the college's ability to function. In response, the college moved the Kerala High Court seeking police protection for its staff, property, and the overall maintenance of law and order within its campus.
