On Wednesday, the Kerala High Court introduced the first edition of its bilingual e-newsletter, High Court Chronicles, set to be accessible in both Malayalam and English.
Chief Justice Ashish J. Desai formally inaugurated the initiative at the High Court in the presence of High Court judges and distinguished guests.
For the inaugural edition of the e-newsletter, Justices VG Arun and CS Dias assumed roles as editorial board members. The monthly publication aims to inform both the legal community and the general public about significant legal initiatives, events, and High Court judgments.
The edition launched today encompasses highlights of events throughout 2023, featuring notable High Court judgments, mediation activities, cultural events, tributes, and various other significant occurrences.
The monthly newsletter will cover updates on the Kerala Legal Services Authority (KELSA), the High Court's mediation center, and the activities of the Kerala State Mediation and Conciliation Center. Additionally, it will highlight significant events and noteworthy judgments from the High Court.
“We believe that this endeavour will make the citizens informed about legal insights, landmark cases, and other initiatives and programs launched by the High Court for better dispensation of justice,” stated a press release issued by the High Court on Tuesday.
The e-newsletter will be accessible in both Malayalam and English starting today, January 3, through the High Court website. Additionally, interested individuals can access it via a subscription service.
