On the invitation of the Supreme Court Bar Association, Justice KV Viswanathan will be visiting the Supreme Court Cafeteria and SCBA Libraries today on 12.09.2023 at 1:15 p.m. He would meet the members of the Bar Association and discuss with issues and problems of the Bar.

Justice Viswanathan was a member of the Supreme Court Bar Association for a long period of time till his elevation as Judge of the Supreme Court. He was an active participant in the functions of the Bar.

Sh. Rohit Pandey, Hony. Secretary of the Supreme Court Bar Association told the 'TLA' that he would sit with the members of the Bar during his visit and that the issues of the Bar would be brought into his knowledge. He would be visiting Cafetaria where he would have a cup of coffee where he used to have coffee regularly before his elevation.

It is a known fact that Justice Viswanathan is a very humble and submissive judge of the Supreme Court who was directly elevated to the Supreme Court and he would reach to the post of Chief Justice of India.

It is a new trend in the Indian judiciary where the judges are coming out and talking to the members of the bar directly over coffee. In recent times many judges of the Supreme Court have done this. Justice BR Gavai, Justice Vikram Nath, and CJI Chandrachud along with his constitution bench have also met the members of the Bar over a cup of coffee.
